Le Mans, Camping, and a Birthday Celebration

We went to Lime Rock Park in Lakeville, CT this weekend to celebrate our friend Danny's birthday. The American Le Mans Series (car racing, not birthing classes) was there so we had a fun weekend of watching car racing, looking at all sorts of cars (that Danny seemed to have an unlimited knowledge about), camping, and enjoying good beer, good food, and good company.

The Spread

As you can see from the pictures, the birthday boy and his family successfully made sure we ate and drank well the entire weekend. I didn't get a picture of the decadent birthday brownies; they were layered with cookie on the bottom, oreo in the middle, and brownie on top. Needless to say I was too busy stuffing my face with one as soon as the candles were blown out to take a picture. I also tried a new beer, Dale's Pale Ale, which was a hoppy beer that hits the spot for an IPA fan like myself.

  1. Thanks for coming! glad to read you had a good time. It would've been nice if a drunken "chef" didn't try to sleep on top of your tent though. Also, it would've been funny, if certain campers had more luck with the tequila Patron paddock girls... heyoh.
